Senator John McCain appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman in New York October 16. After the Republican presidential candidate apologized to David Letterman for his last minute cancellation on September 24,  he was asked some tough questions by the host about his running mate Sarah Palin and relationship with Watergate burglar Gordon Liddy[wikipedia] among other issues.
