Asin Thottumkal born October 26, 1985 mononymously known as Asin is an Indian actress, model and stage performer.she received her second South Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her critically acclaimed performance in her second Tamil film, Ghajini (2005).

Early life and background
Asin was born in Kochi, Kerala, India, and went Naval Public School from LKG-10 standard (quality).

Thottumkal Asin has decided to fund the training of Radhika, an eight-year-old orphan girl from Kerala. She was also part of the camps that were intended to help the Srilankan Tamil people who were affected by the wars in Srilanka during her shoot of her film with Salman Khan ready.

Awards and honors
Asin was honored with the award of Kalaimamani Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in the year 2009.She also won the Giant price together with Shahid Kapoor in the same year.
