Ringing in 2011 on the islands, enjoyed Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner on the first day of the new year on the beach in Hawaii Saturday, January 1. For the "Good Will Hunting" hunk showing off his bushy beard, the couple frolicking along with their daughters Seraphin and Violet with the water fun.



Before the family, a tendency Miss Garner a small, sporty outing as she went out for an early morning surf session and still be all smiles when they come back to shore.The trip comes after a year when Jen has finished filming movies Grease and Arthur while Ben is fresh out of the release of his successful director / actor working in The Town.

Jennifer Garner makes it a family affair when she discovered the grocery store in Brentwood Country Mart with her husband Ben Affleck and daughter Seraph in and Violet Thursday, Dec. 23 in Brentwood, Calif. The 38-year-old actress was also joined by her mother-in-law Chris Affleck earlier day. Earlier this week, Jennifer was spotted shopping at the children's boutique Janie and Jack get some last minute gifts.

Jennifer Garner No.2 Baby Name Meaning: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Named Second Daughter Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck

Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck have named their second daughter Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, who was born on January 6 in a Los Angeles hospital.

The couple didn't reveal the meaning behind the name of the newly-born baby girl. But Pamela Redmond Satran, the baby names' expert authored the Baby Name Bible, who also runs Website Nameberry, tells the possible meaning of Violet Anne's little sister's name on her web site:

Seraphina’s name, which means fiery or ardent in Hebrew, comes from the Seraphim, the high order of six-winged angels. Spelled Serafina in Spanish and Italian, this elaborately feminine name is in step with the Isabellas and Gabriellas so popular today, yet is far more distinctive.

Jen and Ben have proven their baby naming know-how with this gorgeous choice, a great match for Violet, and it’s sure to rise up the popularity list along with that of her big sister.  Much more unusual than Violet, Seraphina hasn’t ever appeared in the Top 1000 of the Social Security list in the past century.

Rose is the middle name du jour, a flower name match for Violet.  And, like many young Americans following the British tradition, the couple has chosen two middle names (although some people have already expressed the objection that it wasn’t fair for this baby to get one more than her big sister).

Seraphina hasn’t appeared much in popular culture references, though a couple of its variations have.  With the Latin  Serafina spelling, it was the name of the passionate heroine of Tennessee Williams The Rose Tattoo, and just last year it was a  character played by Eva Green in The Golden Compass.  It’s also reminiscent of Sarafina, the South African hit musical that played on Broadway in the 90s.

Jennifer Garner Gives Birth to Husband Ben Afleck's Second Daughter

Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck, both 36, have welcome No.2 baby girl to the world in a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday, January 6. The couple's first daughter named Violet Anne is now 3 years old. No details about newly-born Jennifer Garner baby were available, other than the actress' rep said the tot is healthy.

According to Us magazine, a smiling Jennifer was spotted being wheeled into her room after delivery, holding her new born second daughter under a wrapped blanket . A short while later, the hospital staff brought in a portable bassinet and heart monitor to check on the baby.
