What's your first impression of you as to the object in the picutre by Kasmil? Maybe you will say it looks so like the guts of some certain animals. Yes, it just looks like, but absolutely not animal guts. It is a special kind of fungus called Laetiporus sulphureus, or nicknamed sulphur shelf. Because it tastes like chicken meat, it is also dubbed as chicken mushroom. Anyway the consumer should eat with caution if you actually run across it on the market, as the older Laetiporus s. isn't tasty and may cause an allergic swollen tongue.
