TBO.Com reports that the grandmother Catherine Graziano said her grandson, John Graziano, 22, was with the U.S. Marines in Iraq and her son – Graziano's father, who lives in Dunedin – was nearly incoherent when he told her by telephone of Graziano's condition, she said. She remembered her son saying something to the effect of her grandson may have suffered brain damage.
"He said it doesn't look good," Catherine Graziano said. "He was very incoherent. - To come home from Iraq and for this to happen," she said before bringing a telephone conversation with a Tampa Tribune reporter to a close.

"He's progressing little by little, and we just need everyone to continue to pray."Update 3: Edward Graziano, father of John Graziano, was arrested for hospital violence out of John's ICU ward and was taken to the Pinellas County Jail where he still remains behind bars. @ TMZ.com
Update 4: Nick Hogan Posts Graziano's Condition -- on Supra Site
Known on the site as Supraman111, Nick reported on Sept. 16: "john is expected to make a full recovery its just a slow process for him to wake up because he was in a medically induced coma by a drug called pentabarb which takes weeks to wear off which is why the wake up process is is so slow. his entire body is perfect , he just hit his head."
On Sept. 7, Nick wrote: "everyone please drive safe and wear your seatbelts, i had mine on and only broke my wrist, john did not and he is in a far worse stae than i am.
Update 6: John Graziano didn't recover from the coma, he is still in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center, more than a month after the crash. Possibly the young Marine will need lifelong care at a nursing home and at best will only be able to open and close his eyes periodically.
