Zheng Mengzhu (郑萌珠)，the first test-tube baby born on the Chinese mainland, has been admitted to the Xijing Vocational Institute in Xi'an, capital of the northwestern Shaanxi Province.
Zheng Mengzhu was born in the No. 3 Hospital affiliated to the Beijing University of Medical Sciences in March 1988. It was said her parents from Gansu Province had been trying for nearly 20 years to have a child.
Mengzhu's birth, was 10 years later than the world's first test-tube baby Louise Joy Brown who born in July 1978 in Britain and has her own son already!
