Ruslana Korshunova Death!-- Supermodel Ruslana Korshunova, sometimes also misspelt as Ruslana Korshunow, found dead after she plunged from the balcony of her nine-story apartment onto busy Water Street, in Lower Manhattan's Financial District at 2:30 pm on June 28, 2008.

Ruslana Korshunova was believed to have committed suicide. In the AP video above, you can clearly see the construction netting around her condo has been ripped.



Born in 1988, Ruslana Korshunova was from Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, where her mother Valentina and brother Ruslan still live in.



Ruslana Korshunova stood 5 ft 9 tall. Korshunow was discovered years ago by booker Debbie Jones after he spotted the pretty model on a local magazine on her German language club in Kazakhstan.



Ruslana Korshunova, known for her distinctive long hair and green eyes, worked with the elite modeling agency IMG, which boasts top models Heidi Klum and Kate Moss.



Dubbed "'fashion's muse of the moment", Ruslana Korshunova, has been the spokeswoman for top fashion house designers, including Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, DKNY and Nina Ricci among others.



Hailed as "the next big thing," Ruslana Korshunova has graced the cover of numerous magazines including Russian Vogue and French Elle.



Being such a prolific young model, Ruslana Korshunova was shocked to know that her life was ended in such an extreme way. She was shoeless and dressed in blue jeans and a purple tank top when she fell to her death.



Ten hours earlier before she allegedly committed suicide, Ruslana Korshunova and ex-boyfriend, Artem Perchenok, 24, watched the movie Ghost together. It's not known if Ruslana Korshunova was hovered the 1990 romantic drama-fantasy-thriller film starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Tony Goldwyn and Whoopi Goldberg.



Kira Titeneva, Ruslana Korshunova 's best friend told NYDN in sobber. "There's no way she would have killed herself. She loved life so much."



Not like Kate Moss used to snog the heroin, Ruslana Korshunova wasn't wild and was never on drugs or anything.



Mahmoud Nakeeb, Ruslana Korshunova's condo doorman, said she was a very sweet girl, always smiling, never depressed-looking.

It's really a great loss for such a nice model to leave her fans alone. Youtube user kitschyfox made a tribute video to Ruslana Korshunov.
