Shalane Flanagan Olympics 10000M Bronze Medal

    Shalane Flanagan [wikipedia], the American distance runner, won a bronze medal for the U.S. Olympic team in Beijing on August 15. Shalane Flanagan's American record 30:22.22 came behind gold medalist Ethiopia's Tirunesh Dibaba's Olympic record 29:54.66 and Turkey's Elvan Abeylegesse's 29:56.34.
