Other than Shanghai Ice Bar, now Shanghainese can also bath in what developers claim is the world's first floating ocean swimming pool in the East China Sea to enjoy life in this hot summer.
With a 15 million yuan (US$1.97 million) investment, the pool is the first to be composed of polymer polyethylene floats.
It is 50 meters long, 25 meters wide and 1.5 meters deep. It has a shelf life of at least 15 years with a weight capacity of 300 kilograms per square meter.
The pool, with access by yacht after paying an admission fee of 30 yuan (US$4), opened to the public July 6 at Jinshan City Beach. Source: CRI
