The coin is unveiled in a ceremony at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington on Aug. 15, 2007.
The one-dollar Thomas Jeffeerson Coin is the third in the mint's "Historic Change" series which honors the deceased United States Presidents in the order in which they served.
