Google Library Program goes furthur with six European countries: Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Portugal, Sweden, and Switzerland, annouced Christian DiCarlo, of Content Partnerships Team in Google Scholar. At the same, he also call on more local libraries to participate this project. Excerpts from his blog:
According to Jen Grant's post, other development associating this Library program is that Google Book Search are paging through presidential history and have already prepared some special collections onUS Presidents (i.g. George Washington & Abraham Lincoln) under the public domains, as the third Monday in February is "President's Day" (this year is 20/Feb). If for example you're a student in Sweden searching Google Scholar for [chemistry], you can click the “Library Search (Sweden)” link underneath the book titled "Principles of polymer chemistry" to see the list of Swedish libraries that hold the book. Then just pay a visit to one of those libraries to reserve it.
