The Lucrative Fortune-Telling Business

I don't believe fortune-telling so much, yet my mother did alot for me to ask about my future at the time I didn't come overseas. Almost sure, the teller always greeted with good wishes lo. I think, without my own hard-work, then how my future will be bright? Much suprised to find Here in Southeast Asia, Fortune-telling is a very profitable profession. An interesting story happened to a blogger is shared below,


The trip to the fortune teller was really an unexpected visit. Instead of an old, run-down haunted house, stood a magnificent mansion with several big, shiny, imported cars and a string of clients lining up the front door. It was certainly a sight to behold.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by a middle-aged Chinese woman who seated us at the reception area and asked for our particulars - date of birth i.e. date, year, hour, etc. and the exact question which we wanted to ask.

"Okay, what is it you wanted to know about?", the lady asked in Mandarin.

"Huh?", I asked quizzically while turning to my colleagues for explanation.

"She is asking, what type of question do you want to ask? Relationship? Love? Fate?", replied Nancy.

"Oh, I want to ask about my jodoh. What is jodoh in Chinese?"

"Yin-yuang", Jong responded.

The Chinese lady nodded her head momentarily before starting, "Okay, so do you have a friend now or…?"

"Er… yes."

"Write down his name and details," said the lady while passing back the piece of white paper on which I have already written my details earlier.

"Including the time of birth????!"

"Yes". Again the middle-aged lady looked at me expressionlessly.

"Eee… how could I ask him such a question?? That's embarrassing! In that case, can I just ask about my general "yin-yuang"?

Upon hearing the remark, the lady finally smiled. "Okay. We will call you to fix the appointment. Just wait for the call – by next month. You can also call us back anytime if you already have the details of his birth".

Egad!!! ONE MONTH???? Hahaha… Man!! What a fucking lucrative business! Hmm.. somehow felt that I am in the wrong profession now. Should have specialized in fortune-telling instead *grins*

Every fortune-teller is a great psychologist with a strong background of astrology. So, I am not....too much:-)
