Nino Selimaj
, the owner of a New York City restaurant called Osso Buco, is heartbroken, really heartbroken, because a photo of Chelsea Clinton hanging in his eatery was demanded to be removed by the former President Bill Clinton.
The photo, taken of the former first daughter with Osso Buco owner Nino Selimaj, has been on display in the window of the Greenwich Village haunt for about five years. It was snapped when Chelsea, now 27, was having dinner there with a group of about 30 friends.
Douglas J. Band, the former President's lawyer, sent him a letter on September 18 to require to take down the photo:
“We ask that you immediately remove that picture and any and all pictures displaying Ms. Clinton. We reserve the right to exercise any and all options available to us if you refuse to comply.”
"Ms. Clinton, a private citizen, was not consulted prior to this picture being displayed, and thus, her permission was not given for you to do so,” the letter read. “While she may have dined at your restaurant, this does not serve as an endorsement.”
Nino Selimaj who admitted that the photo in the window does draw customers didn't know if Chelsea wants it taken down because she isn't happy with the way she looks in the picture. But if Chelsea Clinton really doesn't like the photograph, he would be more than happy to take a new photo, Selimaj said. So he decided not to take it down until he is forced to do so. :-)

But if the jovial Selimaj and his equally amiable and helpful staff want the former White House resident to come back, they may not only have to agree to remove her picture. They may have to ask Chelsea if she likes the food.
