Iowa Caucus Results

Update: Barack Obama of Democratic and d Mike Huckabee of Republican will Iowa Caucuses. Excerpts from CNN:

With 95 percent of precincts reporting, Obama had the support of 37 percent of voters, compared to 30 percent for Edwards and 30 percent for Clinton.

With 78 percent of Republican precincts reporting, Huckabee had the support of 34 percent of voters, compared to 25 percent for Mitt Romney. Fred Thompson had 14 percent, John McCain had 13 percent and Ron Paul had 10 percent.

Senator Hillary Clinton congratulated Obama on his victory in Iowa and at the same time she expressed her confidence to win the following New Hampshire primary and other caucues:

Sen. Hillary Clinton congratulated her rivals in the Iowa Democratic caucuses on Thursday after losing to Sen. Barack Obama and said, "Together we have made the case for change."

With supporters chanting, "Hillary, Hillary," Clinton sounded upbeat and voiced confidence she would rebound in the upcoming string of primaries, saying, "I am so ready for the rest of this campaign and I am so ready to lead."

While Mike Huckabee's surprising victory in Iowa turned the Republican race for U.S. president upside down, and his path to the party's presidential nomination was far from certain. :-(

The real Iowa caucus results for both Republican and Democratic results would come out as early as the mid-night. Apparently, the Iowa caucuses won't outrank shuteye for President Bush. To the time, he has already gone to the bed.
