Using the Shoushan jade stone, the same material once carved a realistic braised chicken, Chinese artist Shu Yue made these stone mooncakes and showed them at Guan Yuan Jewelery Store in Beijing. Not like the pure gold mooncake which may attract common customers' interests to purchase, it is doubtful that the stone mooncakes could be sold well.
The mooncake is a traditional Chinese food people enjoy on the Mid-autumn Festival (or the lantern Festival, the 15th day of the eighth month in Chinese lunar calendar, is the third most important Chinese festival after Chinese Spring Festival and Yuanxiao Festival), which falls on Sep 25 this year.
