Millionaire adventurer Steve Fossett
,the first person to circle the world solo in a balloon and the first person to fly a plane solo around the world without refueling, has been missing with his single-engine Citabria plane in rugged terrain in western Nevada. It was reported that he was seeking places for an upcoming attempt to break the land speed record in a car. But since he took off from an airstrip at hotel magnate Barron Hilton's Flying M Ranch Monday alone at 8:45 a.m., he never contact anyone via radio or by any other means.
