Jeffrey M. Rush, 41, was fired Sept. 10 from the $54,408-a-year job his father helped him get as assistant supervisor of security at the Fox Valley Adult Transition Center in Aurora, Ill., the Chicago Sun-Times reported Tuesday.
Prosecutors in two counties where the sex acts allegedly occurred are reviewing whether to bring charges against Rush under a state law that bans corrections employees from having sex with inmates, sources familiar with the case told the Sun-Times. The law carries a punishment of up to five years in prison.
