The first underwater graduation ceremony of the College of Marine Sciences Graduate Institute of National Dong Hwa University, was held in front of the Oceanic Aquarium in the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (NMMBA) in the eastern county of Taitung, June 25, 2007. The institute was established under the collaboration between the NMMBA and the University.
The most creative moments of the event appeared when the graduates proudly received their diplomas from Huang Wen-shu, president of Dong Hwa University, in the aquarium while donning on the scubas.
