Ling Zhi (灵芝), or Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum ), is an interesting shelf fungus that is important as a medicine in eastern countries, including China, Japan and Korea. It has been portrayed as a "fix-it-all" herbal remedy for maladies such as cancer, low or high blood pressure, diabetes and heart problems among others.
An ordinary Reishi grows only around 20 centimeters high, but a villager named Chen Baocai recently discovered a rare huge Ling Zhi where stands at more than 90 cm tall from a dying root in remote mountains in east China's Jiangxi province. The plant divides into two branches on the top, each with a Reishi. One is 19 centimeter and the other is 16 centimeter diameter.
As such large Ling Zhi is so precious, Mr, Chen turned downed an offer when someone wants pay a high price for it. Link
