Shanghai Bund Clock Tower

Bund Clock Tower in Shanghai is Asia's tallest clock tower. It is a 79-meter-high landmark on the Bund, and ranked No. 3 in the world after London's 's Big Ben and Moscow's Spasskaya Tower.
Four round clocks, each of 5.4 meters in diameter, are atop the Customs House, which was built around 1925 in the Greek Neoclassic style.
Each minute hand stretches 3.17 meters and weighs 49 kilograms, and the hour hand is 2.3 meters long and weighs 37.5 kg. All hands are made of copper.
The clocks were transported to the city by ships from Britain in 1927. The 37.5-ton parts of the clock were hoisted to the top of the tower by steel ropes.
The chimes play the "The East is Red" on the hour.
Starting from June 1 this year,  the clock tower felt silent while it undergoes a four-month renovation program which ends in 30 September, the first comprehensive face-lift it has had since it first began to chime eight decades ago. Source: Xinhua | Cri
