This is the first time I saw the horse gets its new 'shoe'! I am sure there are alot of you guys who are curious on why the horse just stands still (shows no any signs of pains) while farriers are changing the horseshoe for it? LUCCHINA & Doug D's comments on the video can answer your curiosity:
Tags:the horses feet is very 'fragile'... They can have dramatic pains on feet... We always say : 'No feet, No Horse'... The shoe is to prevent that.
But the'Hoof', farriers are cutting, is like your nail. No sensibility at the extremities. But, only at the extremities...! Thats why they work with such precision... Bad horseShoing would cause bad effects !!!
[it] is the horse's nail, which the horse runs on. The metal horseshose is to prevent the horse's nail being worn out, which can cause a lot of pain for the horse. But trimming, cutting, burning on a horse nail, well there is no pain at all.
